:: Why is the SnoRhino Needed?
As far as ergonomics are concerned, chairlifts have not changed one bit in the past 10 years. As far as your snowboarders are concerned, everything is almost exactly the same.

Safety bar is more or less the same, seats are exactly the same, and the footrest is still an upside-down T. But what about the people using the chairlifts, have they changed?

Yes, yes they have. In the past 12 years, snowboarding has ballooned from 1.6 Million people per year to over 7 million. More then one third of all chair lift passengers are snowboarders. On the right you can observe the typical passenger in 1992, vs 2004. Notice anything different?
